About Me

My photo
I retired early because my legs don't like holding me up for too long. So now I can do things in my own time. I like to sell things at farmers market. Most of which, I've made myself, e.g. homemade soap, crochet dish cloths, hand towels, baby afghans and of course,..tatting.

A pretty find

I obtained this from a friend who just had it tucked away. She doesn't know anything about it. I think the work is gorgeous. The tatting is meticulous. Unfortunately, the joins are frayed. I plan to put fray check on the joins and hope to restore it.

  3. It's lovely!
Just a word about fray check: I have heard that it turns a nasty yellow over time. Might be worth checking into before you use it.

  4. What an amazing LARGE piece of tatting! It certainly doesn't look too frayed in the photo. It really should be displayed in some way!
