Onion Ring Magic Square

 

I just finished Robin Perfetti's Onion Ring Magic Squares in a doily. It's one foot by one foot. If I made it again I would eliminate one ring from the corner flowers that are along the straight edge. On the corners they work good. But got too ruffley along the straight edges. Her blog is Tattingbythebay.

 I finally got my rear in gear and made some more of Jane's cute little fox bookmarks. I learned to put larger beads on them and that gave them more character. 

 

Got these finished up today. My husband asked what kind of flowers they are. 😒

Tea pot, heart and flowers

 I didn't think to scan these until after I'd put them in bags. I bought one of those Food Saver gizmos that seals the plastic. So now I can have whatever size bag I need to put my cards in. Handy.

Tea for tatting

 

These are from Marth Ess' book Tea for Tatting. I've never had to put tattings in the inside after I've made the outside. That was awkward. 

Hearts Desire

 

One thing about being isolated is you get lots done on hobbies. These are 3 Hearts Desire.

Made a little collar

 

I built a little tatted collar for a black sweat shirt. I'm not sure if people will think I'm very olllddd fashioned. 

Starfish, Horse and Cat

 

These are what I've been up to lately. The star fish is Jane Eborll's. The cat and horse are from Tatted Animals by Inga Madsen. 

Two Christmas ornaments and a snowflake

 

I'm still fiddling with Christmas ornaments. These are two balls and a snowflake from Renulek. I painted them with sparkle. Now they'll sit in a shoe box until next Christmas. Oh well. 

Tatsy Snowman

 

I made this little guy for my sister-in-law. She really likes snowmen. It's from the Tatsy tatting book. The hat and scarf was from a free pattern sheet designed by Sandy Scales and Barbara Foster. 

Still Tatting Snowflakes

 

I'm still having fun making snowflakes. The two on the right are from Jane Eborall's blog, Sunflower snowflake. The rest are Jon Yusoff's Tatted Snowflakes Collection. 

I learned something new about beads on the rings. The correct one is in the upper right. 

Teddy Bears

 This is what I've been doing lately. I think I'm up to 10 now. This is a Teddy Bear pattern by Monica Hahn. The more recent ones have beads. Something I haven't done much. But it's coming along.

Summer Solitude

I've been playing in the water colors lately.

Blanket done.

I just finished this C2C child's size blanket. I'd started it two years ago and was only half done. I finally did the other half. I still have lots of yarn to make one or two more. It's cold out so I don't mind an afghan on my lap for a few weeks more.

Apple tree

This is my latest project. I've tatted apple blossoms and blutterflies. I painted the tree with water color. There's a little spacer between the glass and picture. It gave it a little depth.
Getting a few things done these days as there's no place to go.

I'm starting to wonder if my followers are getting my blogs. I haven't had a comment since before December.

I've been sitting at home lately. Partially because of the virus scare. Our pool is closed and church services were cancelled today.
Anyway here are some of the cards I've been tatting up. Some are from Lindsay Roger's book One-Shuttle tatting. Others from Mary Maynard's book Tatting Rings of Flowers.

Regal Dragon

A lady friend wanted another dragon for her 3 years old grandson. He likes to watch Mike the Knight. Mike has a couple dragon friends. This one is Squirt. He sprays water and makes things clean. It's a very cute kids show.

A dear friend has a grandson who likes to watch Mike the Knight. She asked me to make this set up for him. I'm hoping to paint a background soon.
