A few cards

I'm still struggling with my over stressed thumb. But if I wrap it up a bit I can do some tatting. I made the big flower for my mom for mother's day. The rest I hope to sell at Farmers Market.

Desert pals

Well, that last doily made my right hand sore. Too much attaching to the previous lock joins.
Got a little carpel tunnel. So, I'm painting a little. My husband has been making lovely barn wood frames for my work.

Flowerpiece

This is the flower piece from Mary Konior. It's for a friend. It's 8 inches across. Done in #20.

Ecru glass mat

I have a lady friend who likes ceramic rabbits. She has 3 cute ones that she displays together. So I made this larger glass mat for her to put them on. She can't wait to get it.
I doubled the pattern.

Dragon #3

My scanner is not doing this background justice. I guess because the paper is warped. There is more blue sky than that.

Elly's dragon

My daughter's never been very interested in my tattings. But when I made the Regal dragon, she finally took an interest. So, she asked for this red and purple guy. She wants to paint her own background. So you can see the black helmet laying there. She wants to paint a pile of ashes, where the knight got burnt up. And the brave princess is now holding a sword. This time I left the princess with some long hair. 

One more time

Sorry, I keep posting this. My friend wants it to frame and put in her granddaughter's bedroom. She's making a colorful frame and mat for it. She asked me to put a sword in the princess' hand as well. As her granddaughter is a little independent sort.  Not inclined to let a male do her battling for her. Also, I added a flag on the castle and some flowers. I bought a book on painting with water colors. I'm hoping that one day I'll be much improved with my painting.

Regal dragon with background

There's the finished product of the Regal dragon with a bit of a background. He doesn't look very ferocious. That's ok. I think he just wants to make some friends.

Regal dragon

This is Regal Dragon from the book Flights of Fantasy by Martha Ess. I hope to paint a bit of a background for it. So I'll post it again when it's finished. The pattern is very fun and not hard to follow. The rearing horse I did on a previous picture is from this book also. A very fun book.

TIAS

Got my TIAS bunny done. He started out blue. But I had a lot of trouble figuring out the second ear. Sometimes my brain just goes on vacation. I tell people I'm somewhere between a blonde and a senior. So, I started over. Jane creates some very cute tats.

White stallion

Well, my daughter and I took some painting classes. I wanted to be able to paint some backgrounds for tatting that I wanted to frame. I tried not to put in too much detail so as to not take away from the tatting. The "mane event" as it were. :). So here's a bit of my efforts. I know, don't quit taking art classes.

No tatting for this one. But it was fun to try.

Finished doily

YAY! I'm done. This is a gift for a good friend. She knows it's coming and is looking forward to having it on her new wood table.

Progress on doily

Well things are still progressing on this doily. Two more rows to go.

Mtn meadow with trees

Well, some folks told me to put something in the vacant space. So, I tried my hand at some trees. I hope this is done now.

TIAS

This is Jane's Tat It and See. Well, I think it's a kitty cat's head. Seee!

Mountain Meadows

My daughter and I took a water color class. My picture needed a goat and some flowers.

I had a few problems with Jane's goat. Somehow the sides should have been the back and front. But I did what I could. My daughter and I are taking some paining classes. So after I painted my mountain meadow I thought it needed at goat. After I've made some flowers for him, I'll post it.

Jan Stawatsz #6

This is from Jan Stawasz's book Tatting theory and patterns doily number 6. It's coming along smoothly. When I first looked at the book, I was overwhelmed. But as you look it over the patterns are not so complicated. They are beautiful designs.
