made a page for my new binder

I have so many photo copies patterns in tatting. So, I bought a new pretty pink binder and made a title page for it. Such fun.

New bookmarks

The pink bookmark is Bree's pattern. I never did find out how she did it in one piece, but it came together. The other two belong to Rachel. I do like that pattern. And the variegated thread from Lizbeth.

They show up better with red behind them. I painted them with iridescent, frosty, sparkle. Wish it would show up. These are for hanging on a tree.

tatted small cross

I liked making this little cross. The design is from Rachel. xstchntat. 

 

The bottom snowflake, I made so long ago, I don't know where the pattern came from. It's been sitting for years. The top one was supposed to be just a triangle. It hadn't met by three points, so I kept going. I like it.

I got this idea from a book in a little store in Calgary. I've made some changes. It was a little experiment. Not sure I like it that much.

flower bookmark

Finally got this put together. Now that I know how, I like it and plan to make more.
I've pulled a muscle in my leg, so I've had lots of time to tat while I sit on my massage seat. Only goes to show, I should be tatting instead of working in the garden. he he.

apple and watering can

I've made two new tats for cards. The apple is from Mark Myers, thank you Mark. It was fun to make. I glued it to a green card.
 The water can is a design from Jane Eborall, thank you Jane. I appreciate that people have posted their patterns. I added a little flower to the can. Notice the water coming out?

dragonfly with a little more

ok I did add some loopy leaves at the top. My daughter says I overkill and it looks too randon. oh well, I'm having fun

added some grass

I added a little grass to this flower, we'll see if that brings it some admiration

another hat

another hat tat. I guess I'll quit these for awhile and stick with greeting cards. They aren't selling.

snowflake and dragonfly

This snowflake pattern was actually at little motif with just three points. But, as I worked it, I wasn't coming anywhere near getting it to it's end. So, I kept going. It makes a nice snowflake. Then I put some sparkle paint on it. Note to self, use less paint.

I drummed this dragonfly up in my head, after I'd learned how to make split rings. I put some sparkle on it too. It's for a greeting card. Does it look finished?

I've been putting my tattings on caps. I'm hoping to sell them at Farmer's Market.

I've made a few of these cross book marks too. My first tries were dicey, but finally got it figured out.

Never done this before

I learned to tat from a friend about 10 years ago. When I started back to work, the tatting got put on the back burner. I've picked it up again and am making some things to sell at farmers market. Will post more pictures, as I get them on my photo gallery. The blue bookmark is made with "Lizbeth" peacock blue. I've had to send to Handy Hands for it as so far it's become hard to get tatting supplies here in Canada. It was easier 10 years ago. But now, our shops can't be bothered. Well, that's my first blog. Gotta go get some pictures.
